    The Southeast Alaska Power Agency (SEAPA) held their board meeting for audit review and 2012 plans a little later than planned when the board member's plane overheaded Petersburg. Scheduled to begin at noon the meeting actually began shortly after their plane landed at 3:30 on Dec. 13.     The Washington-based Yakama Nation Tribal Council unanimously voted last week to support the passage of Sealaska’s land legislation, the Southeast Alaska Native Land Entitlement Finalization and Jobs Protection Act (S. 730 and H.R. 1408).     A Wrangell man could face significant jail time after an arrest earlier this month in a domestic violence case. Steven R. Marshall, 52, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at a residence in the Bloom Trailer Court after police responded to an argument between Marshall and his girlfriend.     The Wolves of Wrangell High School hosted the Craig Panthers on Dec. 16-17 in the home opener for WHS. Things got off to a bumpy start for the Wrangell Wolves varsity team on Friday night as they came within one point of winning their first game in front of the home crowd.     The Wrangell Wolves wrestling team took their show on the road to the Alaska 1A-3A tournament at Nikiski over the Dec. 9-10 weekend – and came away with a 5th place win for two of the squad’s wrestlers.     JUNEAU, Alaska (AP)– The U.S. Postal Service is imposing a five-month moratorium on closing facilities, meaning five Alaska post offices are safe for now. Agency spokesman Ernie Swanson said Tuesday that the waiting period, set to end in May, will give Congress time to act on “relief” for the agency. A bill aimed at overhauling the cash-strapped postal service is pending in the Senate.
