    The Chamber of Commerce honored Lucy Robinson with the Citizen of the Year award at Saturday's annual dinner. The event also honored new chamber members, the Business of the Year, retiring school system personnel, and distributed the Chamber Membership Appreciation Award. It drew more than 200 members and guests to the Nolan Center for dinner, drinks, dessert auctions, and games.     The annual Tent City Days event starts this evening with events at the Elks Lodge and Legion Hall. The event is a perennial institution in Wrangell, and features window displays by local businesses as well as a host of events designed to hit the sweet spot between kid-friendly events and events for those simply young at heart.   • Wrangell celebrates Alaska Day

    Local residents ran, heard speakers, and dined on soup to celebrate Alaska Day Friday and Saturday. The state holiday, observed Oct. 18 every year, commemorates the day Russian officials signed the territory of Alaska over to American officials at Sitka in 1867. The day features prominent displays of the Alaska state flag, and in at least one case a big fur hat.
