Wrangell’s Church of God will be hosting auditions for all home school students in the borough to perform in the classic Charles Dickens play, “A Christmas Carol.” Students wishing to participate need to come to the first meeting and open audition for parts on Aug. 24 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the church. Wrangell Golf Club hosted the Totem Bar’s 18-Hole 4-Person best-ball scramble tournament last weekend, Aug. 4-5 at Muskeg Meadows golf course. Knudson, who registered the 43-foot boat in Wrangell in 1978, was a Wrangell resident until 1980. Alaska Airlines and Muskeg Meadows golf course held their largest tournament of the year last weekend with an 18-hole drop-out scramble on Saturday and a 9-hole event on Sunday.
