    The Wrangell Wolves and Lady Wolves boarded the morning flight to Juneau on Tuesday morning to head to Regionals. Basketball season is drawing to a close, and the regional tournament will decide who will be going to State this year.     The Wrangell Lady Wolves hosted their final home games of the season last Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 25 and 26, against the Haines Glacier Bears.     The Wrangell Swim Club has had a busy start to 2020, competing in two tournaments in Anchorage and Ketchikan in January and February. Four club members swam in the Alaska Senior Championship, in Anchorage, near the end of January. Coach Jamie Roberts said that this is the highest level competition in Alaska for swimmers between the ages of 13 to the mid-20s.     The Wrangell Lady Wolves held their annual homecoming games last weekend, playing against the high school's rivals, the Petersburg Lady Vikings. After two hard-fought games, both teams walked away with one win. The first game, on Friday, opened with Wrangell taking a narrow lead at 10-8.     Wrangell High School celebrated its homecoming this past weekend. People from all over Wrangell, and the school's rival Petersburg, came together for a weekend of intense basketball games.     Middle schoolers from Wrangell spent the latter part of last week in Juneau, taking part in the Southeast Alaska Middle School wrestling championships. As a team, they came in fifth place with a total of 180 points. They were just behind Petersburg, in fourth place.     The Wrangell Lady Wolves played a set of home games against the Metlakatla Miss Chiefs last week, Feb. 14 and 15. Both teams have been having strong performances this year. This past meet on Feb. 7 and 8 saw the Wolves win two high scoring games, as well as achieve new "high scores" for their season so far.     During the previous assembly meeting, on Jan. 14, the Wrangell Wolves wrestling team was recognized. Among several accomplishments this season, the Wolves claimed the 2A regional championship for the sixth time in their school's history, and also achieved the regional team sportsmanship award.     The Wrangell Lady Wolves spent the beginning of 2020 in Anchorage, taking part in the Rally the Regions Hardwood Classic.
