Last week, 16 swimmers from the Wrangell Swim Club participated in the Southeast Regional Championship. The championship, held from April 5 to 7, was open to swimmers from the ages of 7 to 16-years-old. According to Jamie Roberts, coach of the swim club, Wrangell's kids competed in 123 different swims. The Wrangell Lady Wolves had a very strong season this year. They went 11 and 3 in their regular season, their only losses coming from the Craig Lady Panthers and the Metlakatla Miss Chiefs. The Wrangell Wolves have come to the end of their season after a difficult series of games in Sitka, at the regional tournament. Teams from all over Southeast Alaska came to compete. Since December, they have participated in three different championship meets as well as a decathlon.
