A clean sweep for the community
Boomchain Loucks is among the crew keeping the community center clean and safe for the hundreds of people who use it during the week. Loucks, who was working at the center on Feb. 5, is part of the Parks and Recreation team through the high school on-the-job-training program, which includes Jenna Eastaugh and Hailey Cook. In addition to cleaning and helping with maintenance, Loucks, a senior, works as a lifeguard after school. Parks and Recreation Director Lucy Robinson reminds people to help out by cleaning up after themselves in the restrooms, keeping their shoes safely out of the way against the wall to avoid tripping hazards, and remember — no liquids in the gym except water.
