The school board unanimously elected John DeRuyter as president. He replaces David Wilson, who lost his reelection bid to the board.

Liz Roundtree was elected vice president at the Oct. 13 board meeting, the week after winners were certified from the Oct. 7 municipal election.

Roundtree won another term on the board in the election.

First-time candidate Bonnie Ritchie also won election to the board Oct. 7.

Board members selected Angela Allen as secretary on Oct. 13.

The fifth school board member is Dan Powers.

Powers, Allen and DeRuyter were not up for election this year.
