The new website will change a little every week as the Sentinel adjusts the layout, finds better ways to display photos and news stories about Wrangell, and works to make it even easier to use.
That includes regularly highlighting slideshows of photos under the About Town headline halfway down the home page, such as last weekend’s high school cross-country meet in town and photos of students arriving for the first day of school on Aug. 21.
The new website also makes it easier to find the weekly history column, The Way We Were, by giving it a prominent position on the home page, next to the photo slideshows.
The Sentinel has taken down the paywall through Oct. 19, which means anyone and everyone can read everything on the website — no subscription required. The paywall will go back up after the introductory period.
To post a community event to the calendar, go to Calendar of Events at the top of the page, select Post an Event, fill in the information and we’ll put it on the website and also in the weekly print edition of the paper.
