Muskeg Meadows Golf Course held the Valley Electric tournament this past weekend, with three more tournaments scheduled for September.
The winning team on Saturday, Aug. 29, was Jim Brooks, Guy Kalkins, Karl Altepeter and Joe Delabrue, with a net score of 31.8.
Altepeter won the competition for the straightest drive, at 31 feet, 5.5 inches. There was no closest-to-the-pin winner on Saturday.
First place on Sunday went to Brooks, Talon Churchill and Joe Delabrue with a net score of 31.7. Keene Kohrt won for the straightest drive, at 5.5 inches, and Churchill claimed the prize for closest to the pin, with just barely keeping it on the green.
The next tournament is the Captain’s Coffee Co. best-ball, nine-hole tournament on Saturday, Sept. 5. Register by 9:30 a.m.; play starts at 10 a.m.
Muskeg Meadows will be open for golf, disc golf and driving range users from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
The Compass Line nine-hole, best-ball tournament is set for Saturday, Sept. 12, with the club championship at 18 holes with individual scores on Sunday, Sept. 13.
