Camp helps kids get ready for classes
Head Start teacher Jessica Bray (center) distributed T-shirts to youngsters on July 31, the last day of Gumboot Camp, which ran July 20-31. The first week of the camp was held at Shoemaker Bay, with the second week at the former Head Start building across from Evergreen Elementary School. The camp was to help prepare children for Head Start and kindergarten in the upcoming school year. The specially designed T-shirts were to commemorate the end of the two-week program.
