Obituary: Jerry Powers, 73

Jerry Powers, 73, passed away on December 2, 2011 in Kamiah, Idaho.

Jerry grew up in Wrangell and fished with his dad for many years. He moved to Tacoma 45 years ago, but still returned to Wrangell to go commercial fishing, the last years with Ted Buttle.

He was preceded in death by his wife Charlene, his parents Warren and Isabelle Powers.

He is survived by his children, Leann, Michelle and Donald, (their mother is former Bonnie Sylvester), his sister Donna, brothers, Warren and Darrell (Swede) Powers 

At Jerry’s request a celebration of life was held in Kamiah, on November pol12, 2011, before his death from lung cancer. This is the way Jerry was, full of life and laughter. The celebration was attended by friends and family. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and forever loved.
