Ronald Patrick Fennimore, 65, died February 6, 2012. Ron was born in Seattle, Wash. to Paul and Mabel Fennimore on April 2, 1946.
Ron lived in Mt Angel, Ore. as a child in 1960 the family moved to Wrangell. After graduation Ron attended automotive school in Oregon city, Ore. from 1964 to 1966, followed by enlistment in the Navy from 1967 to 1971 serving in Vietnam.
In 1968 Ron married the love of his life and high school sweetheart Evi Erickson. Following his Navy service the family returned to Wrangell. Ron was employed at Wrangell Lumber Company until the spring 1985 when they purchased the Fennimore’s Service Center where he enjoyed serving the community through work and visiting with everyone until September 2011.
Ron loved working at the “Station,” fishing, hunting, carpentry projects and spending time with family and friends.
Ron is preceded in death by his father Paul Fennimore.
Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evi, daughter Jeanna (Dustin) Wittwer of Juneau, Alaska, son Scott (Irina) Fennimore of Mason, Ohio, daughter Katie (Kyle) Penny of Reno, Nev. and honorary daughter Carmen Barrett of San Jose, Calif., mother Mabel Fennimore, brother Howard Fennimore, sisters Susan Moore, Laura Siggins, and Jeannette Newcomb. Grandchildren Kendra, Ashley and Natalie Wittwer, Sasha and Erica Fennimore, Jacob, Nathan and Jaden Penney, and Grayson Freyholtz. In addition to his many nieces, nephews, countless cousins and many, many friends.
