The current Chief Executive Officer at Petersburg Medical Center is now a finalist for the top hospital administrator position in Alaska’s capital city.
Elizabeth Woodyard, who has been CEO at PMC since 2011, will travel June 14-16 to Juneau’s Bartlett Regional Hospital to take part in the final assessment of candidates for the job – and will be interviewed by hospital staff, government and community leaders, and a panel of hospital stakeholders.
The BRH Board of Directors announced Woodyard as one of three finalists on June 1.
According to a press release from the hospital, William Comer and Christine Harff round out the group to be interviewed for the position.
Comer currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Operations for Nueterra Healthcare’s hospital division in Kansas City, Kan., while Harff currently works as the CEO at Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls, Minn.
Woodyard was previously CEO at Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, Calif., from 2008-2011.
PMC Board of Directors President Tom Abbott said he was happy with the job Woodyard has done in Petersburg.
“She has done a fantastic job and done everything we have expected of her,” Abbott said. “We’re pleased with her performance during the approximately one year she been here.”
All three candidates will be evaluated using a standardized process utilized by the City and Borough of Juneau.
