Goldbelt holds annual shareholder meeting

Goldbelt, Inc. held its 38th Annual Meeting of Shareholders in Juneau on June 2. At the meeting, three directors were elected to the Board. This year, fifteen shareholders ran as candidates for the open board seats. 

Incumbent board members Ben Coronell and Katherine Eldemar were re-elected to three-year terms. Candidate Richard A. Beasley was also elected, replacing board member Andrea Cadiente-Laiti. The newly elected board members were sworn in at the Annual Meeting. 

The Board of Directors immediately convened after the meeting and held a reorganization meeting to elect new officers. Karen A. Taug retained her position as Chairman of the Board while Katherine Eldemar was elected Vice Chair. Trudy Skan retained her position as Corporate Secretary, and Ben Coronell was elected treasurer.

Other continuing board members include Del Cesar, Joe Kahklen, Kathy Polk and Randy Wanamaker.

The Board also voted to retain all the other Goldbelt, Inc. officers: Bob Loiselle, President & CEO; Vic Scarano; Vice President & CFO, Derek Duncan, Vice President—Alaska Operations; Joe LoCasale, Vice President—Mid Atlantic Group; and Elliott “Chuck” Wimberly, Vice President—National Capital Group.

 Headquartered in Juneau, Goldbelt, Inc. has more than 3,400 shareholders and was established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
