Obituary: William S. Lloyd

William “Bill” S. Lloyd passed away June 23, 2012 in Sedro Woolley, Wash. He was born April 5, 1923 in Wrangell.

Bill served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during W.W.II and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands in the Sea Air Rescue. Bill married Lois G. Hammer on October 3, 1946 and they homesteaded in Anchorage from 1946-1953.

In 1953 the couple moved to Everett, Wash. and then settled in Skagit County in 1975. Lois passed away in 1979 and Bill married Phyllis Thompson on Sept 19, 1981.

He worked over 39 years as an electrician and was a life member of the IBEW 191 and also was a member of American Legion.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife Lois, wife Phyllis, one granddaughter, and one grandson.

Bill is survived by children Bonnie Lloyd, Susan (Tom) Lively, Skip Lloyd, Pam (Larry) Stradford and a brother Evan Lloyd, six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service was held on Thursday June 28, 2012 at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett.
