Chris Hatton, of Wrangell Volunteer Fire Department, works on a victim that floated in from the simulated small cruise ship accident off of Petroglyph Beach. The drill held Monday, Aug. 27 was a combined effort of Wrangell Medical Center, Wrangell Volunteer Fire Department, and Alaska Island Community Services. There were 31 victims and over 60 volunteers and employees that participated this year. A grant had been secured this year that allowed Juneau resident, Dave Eley, to write and put into motion the training exercise.
