On Oct. 30, Wrangell Magistrate Chris Ellis adjudicated the following cases:
Jeremiah D. Paul, 27, was found guilty of Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance and Endangering a Vulnerable Adult in the 2nd Degree. He was sentenced to two months in jail, fined $1,150, ordered to serve two years of probation, have no contact with his victim, and obtain a substance abuse assessment.
Jeremy S. Welch, 29, pled no contest and was found guilty of being a Drunk Person on a Licensed Premises. He was sentenced to one year of probation, fined $300, ordered to not consume alcohol or be in an establishment that serves alcohol in Wrangell, and contact Alaska Island Community Services for an assessment.
