On Jan. 8, Wrangell Magistrate Christine Ellis adjudicated the following cases:
Karl M. Altepeter, 59, of Wrangell, pled guilty to Driving Under the Influence. He was sentenced to serve 3 days in jail, pay fines of $1,625, submit to a substance abuse treatment assessment, loss of driver’s license for 90 days, to use an ignition interlock device for 6 months, and to serve one year on unsupervised probation.
Theodosia James, 38, pled guilty to Criminal Trespass in the First Degree – Inside a Dwelling. She was fined $300, placed on unsupervised probation for one year, and ordered to have no contact with her victim. Prosecutors dismissed a single count of Assault in the Fourth Degree.
Janetty Phelan, 42, pled guilty to Driving Without a Valid Operator’s License. She was fined $300, placed on unsupervised probation for one year, and instructed to get an Alaska Driver’s License.
On Jan. 15, Wrangell Magistrate Christine Ellis adjudicated the following case:
Leda Klein, 53, of Wrangell, pled guilty to being a Drunk Person on a Licensed Premise. She was fined $100, placed on probation for one year, and ordered to not be on the property of Rayme’s Bar for the duration of her probation. Prosecutors dismissed a charge of Resisting Arrest.
