Life-long Alaskan, Carol Anne Kimball, 54, passed away March 14, 2013 at ANMC with her family by her side.
Mrs. Kimball was born April 10, 1958 to Alice and Warren Powers, Sr. in Wrangell, Alaska. She was proud to be of Tlingit Indian heritage.
She worked as a successful hairdresser to many local clients at Hot Heads, and previously Headlines, Professional Image and Executive Quarters. After years together, Carol married Gary Kimball of Wasilla on November 7, 2005 and they lived happily until cancer took his life in November of 2009.
Carol loved to fish, garden, gamble, play cards, travel, cook and spend time with friends and family. In her younger years Carol was a black-belt in Kenpo Karate.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Kimball; ex-husband Bill Trent; stepson Brian Trent; and brother Warren Powers, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Andrea Trent; son Billy Trent; stepson Jeff Trent; mother Alice Sabo; father Warren Powers, Sr.; sisters Sydney Rasor and Sandra Powers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Carol’s cremated remains will be scattered along with Gary’s and their beloved dog Homer in the waters of Homer, Alaska (their favorite fishing spot).
A Celebration of Life was held on her birthday April 10, at Carol’s favorite restaurant, SeaGalley.
