On May 7, 2013, Wrangell Magistrate Christine Ellis adjudicated the following cases:

Katherine C. Westrope, 17, was found guilty of Driving in Violation of an Instruction Permit. She was sentenced to probation for one year and ordered to contact Wrangell Youth Court.

Michael W. Simpson, 19, was found guilty of Minor Operating a Motor Vehicle After Consuming Alcohol and Minor in Possession with Habitual Consumption. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, must pay $1,110 in fines and surcharges, a revocation of his driver’s license for one year with six months suspended, perform 136 hours of community work service, serve two years of probation, not consume or possess alcohol, and complete an AICS screening which may include up to 40 days of residential treatment.
