Wow, it’s already Christmas 2013!! It seems like just months ago our family of three was decorating The Mouse House for Christmas and we were thinking how different it would be, this year, just two of us decorating.
Little did we know exactly how different this Christmas would be, one bringing a diagnosis no one ever wants. It’s a new place for our family and friends, one we would rather not face. But life happens, to all of us, regardless.
However, as we think it through, there is a message, brought to the shepherds, and also given to us, that is so important… “fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” While fear can tend to grip our hearts in many life situations, because of the birth of the Christ Child, it changes everything!
As we face life situations which are less than desirable, there is no fear, for there is a child that was born, reflecting the heart of His Father. A heart of love, a heart that promises, through good times and bad, He will never leave us or forsake us.
As we face life situations, perhaps through the holidays and the new year, there is no fear, for He is with us.
For He is Emmanuel, God with us! The Prince of Peace! From our hearts to yours, our love and prayers are with you and we pray His peace, today and always, by allowing Him into your life.
