Glenora E. Barlow, 92, passed away December 12, 2014 in Wrangell.

She was born April 1, 1922 in Wrangell to Paddy and Elizabeth Thomas. In 1940 she married Dennis Barlow on Dec 31, as remembered, the coldest day of the year. Four children were born to them, Dennis Jr., Randy, Andrea and Jeff.

She held many jobs during her lifetime, being a mom, working at the shrimp cannery, a checker at City Market, being a partner and deckhand on their troller Lorna L with husband Dennis. She enjoyed playing Bingo, "going to try my luck" she would say. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting as well as baking and she made the best apple pie. She was a lifelong member of the St Philips Episcopal Church where she employed her rather strong singing voice. Singing and music were a special enjoyment for Glen, she purchased a Baldwin organ and spent many years playing tunes and singing along with the music. Glen was also an avid reader and made good use of the Irene Ingle Library. Glen was an active member in the ANS holding different positions within the organization.

She was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter Stephanie; sisters Mae, Sarah; and brother Harry.

She is survived by her children, sons Dennis (Jana) of Anchorage, Randy (LaTonnie) of Juneau, Jeff (Sandy) of Wrangell, daughter Andrea (Steve) of Hawaii, granddaughters Shanda, Danelle and great-granddaughter Rylee.

A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
