Eighth-grade boys at Stikine Middle School stand alongside their joint art project, a multi-panel painting depicting the school's cougar mascot. The 11 boys' work was selected for display in the Capitol in Juneau during the month of March. "I chose the project because they're a very diverse group of boys," explained art teacher Anne Luetkemeyer. In addition to exercising their artistic skills, she felt the cooperative project would promote a sense of teamwork.
