Conner J. Forrey, 22, appeared before First District Court Magistrate Judge Chris Ellis on a charge of Failure to Stop for School Bus, a Class B misdemeanor. The defendant pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended, a $500 fine with $350 suspended and $50 in surcharges. He is placed on probation for one year.
Nedia K. Voltz, 41, appeared before First District Court Magistrate Judge Chris Ellis on a charge of Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, a Class A misdemeanor. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail with 42 days suspended. Voltz was also ordered to pay $2,000 in fines with $500 suspended, a $330 fee for imprisonment and $125 in surcharges. Her driver’s license is revoked for 90 days, and an ignition interlock device will be required for six months after driving privileges are returned.
