Board of Game meetings called

The Alaska Board of Game (BoG) announced it will be holding a non-regulatory teleconference at 2 p.m., Aug. 7. The board will consider agenda change requests for the 2016 Statewide Regulations meeting and address other business.

Though the board will not be taking public testimony during the teleconference, it will be accepting written public comment if received no later than 5 p.m. on July 30. Commenters are asked to limit their submissions to reasons why agenda change requests should or should not be scheduled for next year’s regulations meeting.

Submissions can be sent online via www.

boardofgame.adfg.alaska.gov, or faxed to 465-6094.

During the teleconference the board will also receive a report from the Dall sheep committee, which meets in Anchorage on Aug. 5 and 6.

Established during a May 28 teleconference, the Dall committee will be discussing issues concerning sheep management and evaluating the need for establishing a stakeholder working group. Its meeting will be open to the public for listening only.

The committee’s agenda and other documents will be available beforehand on the BoG website, at http://www.adfg.gov/index.cfm?adfg=gameboard.meetinginfo. A live audio stream of the meeting will also be available at the site.
