Reflections

Have you ever visited with a friend and as you start to leave, something like this is said, “Well now that we have solved the problems of the world I will say good-bye.”

I wonder what sort of conversation and how long of a conversation it would take to actually solve all the problems of the world? I do believe it could be a very brief visit to get that ball rolling. A couple of sentences. The Golden Rule, treat everyone as you would like to be treated.

The Greatest Commandment, Love your Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your soul, and to love your neighbors as yourselves.

During the Presidential Election season especially I think this would work well. Save money on campaigning, make debates into conversations. And just think of what could happen if the Oath of Office was The Golden Rule and The Greatest Commandment. Just think about it.

School season is upon us again. Just think of all the types of bullying that would end. School becoming a place for our children to attend and be safe and just worry about the next test.

These two items, The Golden Rule and The Greatest Commandment. They are hard to accomplish with every breath we take. It seems that the whole world is totally against us in this. It takes our whole lives to try to obtain a “perfect score”. They are so great that we humans will have to try to “complete” these rules for the rest of our lives.

Just think if one person at a time started this, and the next person and so on and so on….

Just think…

Be at peace and know that God is still in charge…
