Former resident to appear in two films

The family of Adrian Prescott was excited to share news that the former Wrangell resident will be hitting the big screen in two films next year.

Prescott’s mother, Kelli Gray, told the Sentinel that he has found work as a supporting actor and movie extra in Atlanta, Georgia.

Shortly after being called back for an extra job, he was approached again for a bigger part on-screen in “Hot Summer Nights,” an upcoming teen drama written and directed by Elijah Bynum. Prescott will appear alongside cast Timothee Chalamet, Alex Roe and Maika Monroe in the film, which began filming in August.

Prescott will also be appearing as an extra in “Fist Fight,” a comedy directed by Richie Keen and starring Ice Cube, Charlie Day and Tracy Morgan. A synopsis for the film has a meek teacher, played by Day, challenged to a fight by tougher colleague Ice Cube. The release date is to be announced, but the New Line Cinema film is expected to run next year.

The movie appearances will be a first for Prescott, who has previously modeled and appeared in commercials. He is the nephew of residents Joy Prescott, Vivian Prescott and Merce Angerman.
