Taylor W. Stavee, 24, appeared before District Court Judge Kevin Miller on the charges of Driving Without a License, Assault in the 4th Degree, Alcohol Restricted and multiple counts of Violating Condition of Release. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges, and was sentenced to serve 95 days in all with credit for time served. Stavee was ordered to pay $850 with $200 suspended, give a DNA sample for the state registry, and to undergo and complete evaluation and treatment. Stavee lost his driver’s license for 90 days, and has been put on probation for an extended three years.
David V. Evenson Jr., 25, appeared before First District Judicial Officer Kevin Miller on the charge of Theft 4 – Less than $250. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, and two lesser charges were dropped. Evenson was ordered to serve 30 days with 30 days suspended, and is put on probation for two years. During that time he is not to consume or buy alcohol.
Gary A. Stevens, 46, appeared before First District Judicial Officer Kevin Miller on the charge of Driving Under the Influence, a Class A misdemeanor. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, and was sentenced to serve 30 days with 27 suspended, pay $1,955 in fines and surcharges, and undergo screening, evaluation and treatment for substance issues. Stevens’ license was revoked for 90 days, and he must pay for an ignition
interlock device to be installed in his vehicle, to be used
for six months. Stevens was placed on probation for 18 months.
Peter C. Helgeson, 56, appeared before First District Judicial Officer Kevin Miller on the charge of Driving Under the Influence, a Class A misdemeanor. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, and was sentenced to serve 220 days with 200 suspended, pay $4,517 in fines and surcharges, and undergo screening, evaluation and treatment for substance issues. Helgeson’s license was revoked for a year, and he must pay for an ignition interlock device to be installed in his vehicle, to be used for 12 months. Helgeson was placed on probation for two years.
