William R. Nakamura, 35, appeared before First Judicial District Magistrate Judge Chris Ellis to face two charges of Violate Condition of Release and one count of Criminal Mischief – Property Damage $250-$749. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges, and was sentenced to serve 60 days at Wrangell Jail with credit for time served, make restitution for damages and pay $200 in surcharges. Two orders to modify or revoke probation were also handed down, and with the term of Nakamura's probation extended by 79 days to Sept. 26, that restitutions be paid by Aug. 26 and that he pay $200 in suspended jail surcharges.

Monday. April 25

Darryl J. Bartlett, 30, appeared before First Judicial District Court Judge Kevin Miller on the charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender 2, a Class A misdemeanor. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge, and was ordered to serve 100 days with 65 suspended, pay $500 with $500 suspended, and pay $200 in surcharges with $100 suspended. Bartlett is placed on probation until April 25, 2017.

Brandon T. Kenfield, 19, appeared before First Judicial District Court Judge Kevin Miller to have one charge of Repeat Minor Consuming/Possessing Alcohol dismissed. The count was dismissed by the prosecution.
