Wrangell residents join with hundreds of other participants in this year's Celebration in Juneau. Held from June 8 to 11, the biennial festival celebrates the art, food, music and culture of the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people. It is one of tne of the largest gatherings of Southeast Alaska Native peoples and is the second-largest event sponsored by Alaska Natives in the state.

Members of Wrangell's Tlingit and Haida community participate in the Grand Entrance parade down Willoughby Street in downtown Juneau. The parade was followed by a welcoming ceremony presided over by an esteemed list of guest speakers.

Wrangell dancers represent their community at Juneau's Centennial Hall. Students of the local Johnson-O'Malley Program put on shows and fundraisers in order to save money for the trip, which was a memorable first for some.
