April D. Larsson, 37, was found guilty of DUI – Operating Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs by First District Judicial Officer Kevin Miller after pleading guilty. The defendant was ordered to jail for 30 days with 27 suspended, and to report to Juneau for probation by February 6. Larsson was ordered to pay $3,216 in fines and surcharges with $1,600 suspended, complete treatment, surrender driver’s license for 90 days, and is placed on one year’s suspension. After regaining privileges, she would have to install an ignition interlock device for six months. One charge of Violating Condition of Release was dismissed by prosecution.

January 24

James T. Goldsbury, 60, pleaded no contest to a charge of Alcohol Restricted-In Licensed, a Class A misdemeanor, and was found guilty by First District Magistrate Judge Chris Ellis. He was ordered to serve 15 days with 13 suspended, and to pay $200 with $100 suspended. Goldsbury is to be placed on probation for one year.

Charles L. Hamley Jr., 42, was found guilty of DUI – Operating Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs by First District Magistrate Chris Ellis after pleading no contest. Hamley was ordered to go to jail for 15 days with 12 suspended, and to report to Juneau for probation by January 27. The defendant was ordered to pay $1,716 in fines and surcharges with $100 suspended, complete treatment, and surrender driver’s license for 90 days. After regaining privileges, Hamley would have to install an ignition interlock device for six months. He is placed on one year’s suspension.

Larissa V. Bardina-Siekawitch, 48, appeared before First District Judicial Officer Chris Ellis on the charge of Failure to Stop for Schoolbus, a Class B Misdemeanor. Pleading guilty or no contest, the defendant was ordered to pay $150 with $100 suspended, and entry of judgment was suspended for six months subject to probation conditions.

January 26

David G. Williams, 54, was issued an electronic judgment by the District Court at Wrangell following a guilty conviction by trial for the minor offense of Commercial Fish/Registration A/Shrimp Pot Fish Season Oct 1-Feb 28 unless emer., a first offense. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine and $10 training surcharge, and to forfeit $1,470 worth of product taken in violation.

Aaron M. Howell, 22, was ordered to probation on suspended entry of judgment by First Judicial Officer Chris Ellis, after pleading guilty to counts of attempted Burglary 2 and Tampering with Physical Evidence, both Class A misdemeanors. The defendant was ordered to pay $150 in surcharges with $100 suspended, and is placed on probation for one year. Howell’s conditions include restitution, 160 hours of community work service, and to testify if necessary at trial against his co-defendant. Six other charges were dropped by prosecutor James Scott, including two counts of Burglary 2, Theft 2-Firearm Explosive, Theft 2-Value $1000-24,999, Theft 3-Value $250-999, and Criminal Mischief 4-Property Damage $250-999. Howell was also ordered to pay $200 for the cost of appointed counsel.
