First weekly winner in the derby

Wrangell angler Randy Easterly Sr. displays the 35.7 pound king salmon he caught at Babbler last Monday. Still leading the ladder, the fish won him $500 for the Wrangell King Salmon Derby's first week prize. Catching a 33.9 pounder outside of town on Saturday, Jack Kvale as of Tuesday was still ahead in the week two handout, which closes tomorrow. Additional prizes will be up to win this weekend, with Memorial Day offering its own pot of prize money for the biggest fish caught. The derby continues
