Reflections

Here we are well past July 4 and all the excitement of the celebration of our country’s birth. We had great times with ample food to eat, events to watch and participate in. A great day for us. It is fun to see friends and get caught up on their lives the people that no longer live here but are part of our past and remembered in our hearts. The day is filled with excitement, joy, and love for one another.

We do things we don’t always do as in our daily routine we spread our wings and fly into the unknown with new things that have not been done in a while.

It makes me think of another celebration that happened many years ago. The birth of our Lord and Savior. It was celebrated also but not with fireworks and races but with a manger, a Mom and Dad, a few barnyard animals, and oh yes a Baby. What a person this Baby turned out to be. Two thousand years and we are still talking about Him. Isn’t it exciting to think that one person made such an impact on this world that the remembering of that is still celebrated by us each and every week not just yearly. So to all of us that enjoyed the times and events of July 4th I would like to invite you to celebrate each and every Sunday in a church of your choice. God Bless everyone and we look forward to seeing you this Sunday.
