Mya D. DeLong, 32, appeared before First District Court Judicial Officer Chris Ellis on the charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance. The defendant pleaded guilty to the count and was ordered to serve 30 days on monitoring with 27 suspended. DeLong was ordered to pay $1,791 in fines and surcharges with $100 suspended, enroll in and complete a treatment program, and to surrender her license for a period of 90 days. Upon regaining driving privileges she would be required to install and use an engine interlock device on her vehicle for six months, with costs credited against the imposed fine. DeLong has been placed on probation for one year.
