Lief C. Bosdell, 19, appeared before First District Court Judge Kevin Miller to face two counts, a class C felony count of Vehicular Theft 1 and a class A misdemeanor charge of Assault 4 – Cause Fear of Injury. He pleaded guilty to these, and 11 further counts – including six Vehicle Theft 1 and three Tamper with Property charges – were dismissed under Rule 11 agreement. Bosdell was sentenced to serve 720 days with 469 days suspended, with 90 unsuspended days to be served concurrently with 101 days from the felony count; the defendant is to be credited for time already served. Additionally, Bosdell was ordered to pay $300 in surcharges, as well as restitution. He has been placed on three years’ probation, during which time Bosdell is not to make contact with any of the aggrieved parties.
Caleb O. Miethe, 40, appeared before First District Court Judicial Officer Kevin Miller on the charge of Assault in the 4th Degree – Recklessly Injure. The defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve 180 days with 179 suspended, with credit for time served. Miethe was additionally ordered to undergo an alcohol abuse assessment and anger management counseling, submit a DNA sample to authorities, and pay $200 in surcharges with $100. He has been placed on probation for one year.
Linda A. Churchill, 52, appeared before First District Court Judicial Officer Kevin Miller on the charge of Harassment 2 – Offensive Physical Contact. She pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to serve 10 days with 10 days suspended. Churchill was ordered to undergo an alcohol assessment and course of treatment, provide a DNA sample to police, and pay $200 in surcharges with $100 suspended. In a separate judgment for cost of appointed counsel, Miller determined Churchill pay $50 for legal services provided. She has been placed on probation for one year.
