Alaska Wildlife Troopers at the Juneau post contacted Jared Gross, 31, of Wrangell, captain and permit-holder on the F/V New Freedom, a gillnetter participating in the Lynn Canal commercial gillnet fishery, after his vessel had been observed fishing over the south district 15C line into district 11A waters, which are never open to gillnetting.
