Canadian writer and cartoonist Kevin Sylvester made an online appearance at Evergreen Elementary last Monday afternoon, on Feb. 11. He is the author of several books, including "MiNRS" and "The Neil Flambe Capers" series. He visited with several classrooms via Skype, where he read excerpts from his books and taught kids how to draw cartoons. According to teacher Laura Davies, he also "provided inspiration for students to be brave, not give up, and embrace mistakes." Pictured here is Davies' fifth grade class visiting with Sylvester.
