Webb topped the leader board for the first weekend in the annual king salmon derby which ends June 30. He caught the salmon near Point Warde, off the mainland at the southern end of Wrangell Island.

Marcus Ostrander brought in the first fish entered in the chamber of commerce's king salmon derby last Saturday. His early catch - weighed in at 9:59 a.m. the first morning of the derby - hit the scale at 17.85 pounds. He caught the salmon near The Bend, according to the chamber. More than 100 fishermen bought derby entry tickets during the first weekend.
