Wrangell Public Schools is accepting applications for the following positions for the 2024-2025 school year:
- Special Education Paraprofessional: This is a part-time, 9-month classified position, working 5.75 hours per day. Salary placement is in Column A of the Classified Salary Schedule. Job duties include but are not limited to working with students individually and in small group settings in Special Education at Evergreen Elementary School. A High School Diploma or equivalent and an associate degree or the ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment is required. Anticipated start date: Aug. 19, 2024.
- Full-time Title I Paraprofessional: This is a full-time, 9-month classified position, working 7.5 hours per day. Salary placement is in Column A of the Classified Salary Schedule. This position has a benefit package, including health care coverage. Job duties include but are not limited to working with students individually and in small group settings in the Title I Program at Evergreen Elementary School. A High School Diploma or equivalent and an associate degree or the ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment is required. Anticipated start date: Aug. 19, 2024.
- Middle School Boys and Girls Assistant Basketball Coaches: These are part-time, contracted positions coaching basketball for students in grades 6-8. Knowledge of basketball is required; coaching experience is preferred. Anticipated season dates: Oct. 2 to Nov. 13, 2024.
