School registration opens online Aug. 7

Wrangell schools online student registration will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 7, for grades K-12 at wrg.powerschool.com/public/.

For those who need assistance, in-person registration will be held Monday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the elementary school gym.

The first day of school for students is Thursday, Aug. 22, with teachers starting earlier in the week.

This year’s holiday break will start after classes end on Friday, Dec. 20, with school reopening on Monday, Jan. 6.

Student fees remain unchanged from last year and are due at the time of registration, online or in-person.

Elementary school fees are $20 for technology and $20 for books.

Technology fees at the middle and high school are $75 for an individual or $175 for families of three or more. The optional yearbook fee is $50 per student.

Activities fees are $150 for the first activity, $100 for the second and $75 for the third. The activity card for sports participation is $25 per student. The travel fee for state sports competition is $400; it may be fundraised through the district and is due before attending a regional event.
