LEARN TO LINE DANCE 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays from July 30 to Aug. 27 at the community center multi-purpose room with Isabella Crowley. For ages 18 years old and up. Entry fee is by donation.

Win bragging rights for being the 2024 Best Salmon Smoker by entering your very own mouth-watering smoked salmon in the Bearfest contest. MUSKEG MEADOWS Bearfest Golf Tournament, 9-hole best-ball, Saturday, July 27. The KSTK-sponsored AP&T Golf Tournament, 9-hole best-ball and putting contest, is Sunday, July 28. Tournament play starts at 10 a.m. both days, register by 9:30 a.m.

FAMILY POTLUCK PICNIC from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 28, at Shoemaker shelter, hosted by Pioneers of Alaska Igloos Nos. 15 and 21.

COMMUNITY POTLUCK 6 p.m. Fridays through August at the sheltered site on Nemo Point Road. All are welcome.

ROLL ON THE ROCK roller skating 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays at the TouchPoint Ministries rink on Bennett Street. Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Skaters must complete a registration form. $5 per person.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL REGISTRATION for grades K-12. Online registration will start Wednesday, Aug. 7. In-person registration on Monday, Aug. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Evergreen Elementary gym for grades K-12. Check the school district website at http://www.wpsd.us. Classes begin Aug. 24.

- FOREST EXPLORERS 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesdays through Aug. 6 with Clarie Froehlich of the U.S. Forest Service. For ages 7-13; ages 6 and under must be accompanied by a guardian 14 or older. Meet at Volunteer Park. $50 fee. Registration required.

- FUNCTIONAL FITNESS and TECHNIQUE 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the pool building with Devyn Johnson. A guided workout. Learn how to use the gym equipment. For ages 18 years old and up. Daily entry fee, pass or punch card.

- BEACH EXPLORERS 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 5 to 14. City Park the first week and Petroglyph beach the second week. For ages 5 to 10 years old. $40 fee.
