Carney and Houser joined students from Petersburg, Hoonah and Mt. Edgecumbe to attend the Federal Subsistence Board meeting in Anchorage on Feb. 4-7. It was part of the Policy and Procedures class offered in partnership between the Sitka Conservation Society, University of Alaska Southeast Sitka and U.S. Forest Service, with federal funding. Students learned about managing subsistence uses of fish, wildlife and other resources on federal lands and waters.
