A day before their public performance at the Nolan Center, the taiko ensemble Unit Souzou performed their unique blend of traditional Japanese drumming, dance and storytelling for students and faculty at Evergreen Elementary School on Friday, March 14. Several students and staff joined them on the stage toward the end of the event. Unit Souzou also performed for a middle school and high school assembly later that day. Wrangell was the group's first stop on an Alaska tour. Their visit here was sponsored by Bearfest.
