“DOG MAN” 1 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the Nolan Center. The 2025 animated adventure family film is free; presented by Parent Teacher Community Club.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, in Evergreen Elementary School, Room 101. The public can email comments to kpowell@wpsd.us, or can sign up under guests to be heard at the meeting by emailing the same address before 3:30 p.m. April 14.

“GODSPELL” movie at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, at the Nolan Center. The 1973 comedy drama musical is free; presented by Island of Faith Lutheran Church as part of its retro-movie program. Concession stand will be open.

“PLASTIC PEOPLE” 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Nolan Center. Free community event about environmental justice and microplastics affecting human health. Reception at 5:30 p.m. Film (80 minutes long) at 6 p.m., followed by question and answers. Light refreshments provided by Sweet Tides. Hosted by Alaska Community Action on Toxins.

COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT will start promptly at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Muskeg Meadows Golf Course. For toddlers through 12 years old. Sponsored by the Elks. Donations of wrapped small pieces of candy, or funds to purchase more coins can be dropped off at the Elks Club or at Angerman’s. Volunteers are needed to help fill plastic eggs and help hide the 1,000-plus eggs on the morning of the hunt. Call Dawn at 907-305-0552 for more information.

DADDY-DAUGHTER DANCE 6 to 8 p.m. April 25 at the community center multi-purpose room. Tiaras, dessert and backdrop for pictures come with $40 entry fee. Purchase tickets at the door via cash or Venmo. Hosted by Wrangell Burial Assistance.

PRE-K ART ACTIVITIES 11 a.m. to noon every Monday for ages 0-5 at The Salvation Army. Experience the arts each week with a special activity prepared by Capt. Belle. Call for more information 907-874-3753.

SKATER TOTS 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the TouchPoint Ministries rink on Bennett Street. Children 0-10 years old. Scooters, flat board, skates for novice beginning skaters, separate play area, toys and tumbling mats for infants. Parents/guardians must stay to supervise. Free.

ROLL ON THE ROCK roller skating 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays at the TouchPoint Ministries rink on Bennett Street. Children 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult. $5 per person.

YOUTH WORKOUT CHALLENGE Tuesdays and Thursdays through April 25 at Parks and Recreation. Track your workouts with stickers in the lobby. Parents must actively work out with their child; for children 7-12 years old. Daily fees apply. Weekly prizes and grand prize for kids who complete the most workouts.
