Minor Leaguer Azealea Mora-Miera was among the kids at the first practices of the season on April 7. Little League opening ceremonies are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26. Due to the large number of new players this year, organizers created a third Minor League team, to go along with two Major League teams and four Tee Ball squads. Organizers are looking for Minor League assistant coaches and volunteers to help cut back alders around the fields and batting cages, as well as put up a protective barrier at the Tee Ball spectator stands.
