Jacqueline “Jackie” Brown (Gross) passed away on Aug. 14, 2026, in Glendale, Arizona, at the age of 79.
Jackie was born on May 17, 1947, in Wrangell and carried with her throughout her life the strength, resilience and quiet dignity that so often come from a life rooted in hard work and close family ties. She moved away in the early 1950s but visited often.
Jackie shared a full and meaningful life with her husband, and together they owned ASAP Concrete Co. in Glendale, Arizona. Through their work, they built not only a business but also a reputation for dedication, integrity and perseverance.
“Jackie brought care and steadiness to all she did, and her presence was an important part of the company’s success. She understood the value of honest labor and the importance of showing up with commitment, and she carried those principles into both her professional and personal life,” her family wrote.
“A traditional woman in the best sense, Jackie valued family, faith and hard work. She faced life with determination and a gentle heart, and she leaves behind a legacy that reflects the best of those values,” her family wrote. Her life was one of purpose and grace, and she will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for the way she made others feel through her compassion, wisdom and steadfast love.
Jackie is survived by family members Romaine and Gordon Lively, Margo and Steele Gove, Vermay Gross, Diana and Eric Erickson, Wil and Marsha Apalone.
Her family was an important part of her life, and she treasured the bonds they shared. The love, laughter and memories created over the years will remain a lasting source of comfort to those who survive her.
Jackie Brown will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
